Thomas Tuchel continues to miss veteran Dani Alves’ presence in the lineup. The right back is out with a knee injury and is still some ways off a return. Left back Layvin Kurzawa also is out of the running here, while goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon remains suspended following his unprofessional actions when playing for Juventus last term.Red Star Belgrade vs Paris Saint Germain Live Match Streaming | Uefa Champions League 2018/19

There are doubts about the fitness of right back Thomas Meunier and midfielder Julian Draxler, so the former might cause a shift in tactics like they had at the weekend. PSG had the luxury of resting Edinson Cavani and still won 3-0 on the road at Nice on Saturday, so the Uruguayan will be fresh and raring to go here.  That’s scary considering he has loved beating up on smaller sides over the years.  Strike partner Neymar is also a scary conundrum to face.  His two goals at Nice took his tally up to seven in Ligue 1 already, and he will be looking to score his first in Europe for the season here in Paris.

Canadian international goalkeeper Milan Borjan will be put to the test in a big, big way here in this match.  While he did do well to help lead his side to a clean sheet against Napoli at home, playing away in Paris to this lineup will be a whole new test.  He will have to be at his very best to give them a sliver of hope.  Going forward, El Fardou Ben is a man that can score goals for them.  He had six in the qualifying stages to get them into the group, but this will be a major step up for him in terms of competition.

PSG are just head and shoulders above the rest of the competition in France.  The Ligue 1 defending champions once again are headed toward an easy title win having taken maximum points from the first eight games and opening up a huge gap.  That is well and dandy, but they have rarely looked ready for the bigger European opponents when they have not faced any difficulty there in France.  Luckily for them, they are at home to a side that won’t be a serious threat to them.

With that said, Red Star Belgrade are the PSG of the Serbian league.  The defending Serbian champions have began this season with a bang, winning nine of their ten league matches and drawing the other one to go eight points clear at this stage.  They also have done well to get here via the playoffs, and then showed that they are not slouches by holding out for a draw against Napoli in the first group stage match.  However, PSG have been together for a longer time, and they are at home, meaning this is very much an uphill climb for the Serbians. The French champions began their campaign with a 3-2 defeat away at Premier League club Liverpool. Despite coming from two goals down to draw level with seven minutes to go, they conceded deep into added time to come away from Anfield empty handed.

Thomas Tuchel’s men have since bounced back from the defeat to Liverpool, winning their last three Ligue 1 matches. They warmed up for the visit of Red Star Belgrade with a 3-0 victory over Nice and will be hoping for a similar result on Wednesday. Edinson Cavani was an unused substitute in Saturday’s match and should return to the starting line-up on Wednesday. The Uruguayan will start in attack alongside Kylian Mbappe and Neymar who scored two goals against Nice.

The Serbians held Italian giants Napoli to a goalless draw at home in their first group fixture of the competition. It was a superb defensive display from Vladan Milojevic’s men as they hung on despite some intense pressure to come away with a point.

Red Star are heading to Paris in decent form as they are unbeaten in their last 10 matches in all competitions. They have claimed three wins from their last five outings and head into Wednesday’s clash off the back of a 2-1 victory over Mladost Lucani in the Serbian league. Attacker El Fardou Ben Nabouhane is the top scorer for Red Star in this year’s UEFA Champions League having scored six goals during the qualifiers. The 29-year-old has however failed to find the net in his last 4 matches in all competition and is unlikely to get any joy against PSG.
